Hoping It's Not Something Serious

Last week, for days, I got caught up looking for the missing power cord for our small laptop in the basement.  I have went through piles of bins but couldn't remember where I've put it.  It has been months ago when I cleaned the house and put away things we don't really use to save up some room.  And for some reason, I've been forgetful, so it was kind of tough remembering where it was.

While I was digging through stuff, I got worried when I got up to move a bin out of my way and I suddenly started feeling dizzy.  Not only that, my sight, for a couple of seconds, went muzzy and I started seeing double!  Good thing, I was able to grab onto the old couch that was just right behind me.  It scared me because I have a history of eye problems.  I was diagnosed with Myopia when I was in 5th grade and had to start wearing prescription glasses.  But, it got worse when I was in high school.  When I went to my doctor for another check-up, I was told that my eye problem wasn't as simple as we've thought it was all along.  He did further tests, and when the results came out, the diagnosis - glaucoma!  He didn't have to explain a lot for me to grasp the fact that what I have is something serious, and if not treated properly, it could lead to blindness.  I knew right then and there that I wasn't paranoid or anything when I had instances at night when I literally went blind for a couple of seconds.  I was prescribed with an eye drop, and I used it for years.  I stopped when I was in college because I was supposed to go back to the doctor for further tests, but never did.

It's been seven years now since the last time I've been seen by an Ophthalmologist, and it worries me that I might be suffering from the same symptoms again.  And I guess I cannot stop worrying until I get seen and find out what really is going on with my eyesight right now.  I can only pray that it's nothing as serious as before and that it can be treated without me having to use any type of medication.  I can handle wearing glasses again, but not eye drops or any type of prescription.  I am so over that!
