When I was still in the Philippines, especially when I lived in the city, having days without water supply was a very usual thing and I got so used to it that it never bugged me a bit anymore for the rest of the time I was there. But after living here in the US for more than 2 years now, every time I'd take a shower, I couldn't help but remember the life I had back home. For the whole 7 years I lived in the city, I can honestly count the times I was able to use the shower in our apartment. Not because the shower was faulty, but because water there is scarce, it couldn't even go up a shower pipeline. It was always frustrating and there were even times we had to fill buckets up just to have water to use for those days they'd completely shut down water supply. We didn't have bigger containers, so it was tough, every time. Wish we had these huge
stainless steel drums to store water in, then maybe it would've been easier on us and we didn't need to worry if we actually stored enough water to last us till the water supply is back.
And speaking of huge containers, I honestly wonder if there's a place there where people can get something like these drums because I'm sure, it'll be a huge help to whoever will own them.
