Fire!

The other day, I received a sad news from my family that one of our neighbors' house caught on fire. Their house is probably 6 houses away from ours, not too close but it's not too far, either. Unfortunately, I don't know how the fire started, but the family affected lost almost all of their belongings. I'm just glad to know that nobody got hurt. It probably was tough for them to put out the fire considering that we have no fire department in our own town. The nearest one is about 24kms away, an hour long drive. Thanks to all the people of our town who did their best to help one another in putting out the fire! They were able to contain it before it totally spread out.

If only our place has good water pumps, maybe it'll be possible to have our own firetruck so we don't have to rely on other town's fire department to respond to situations like that. We don't have a good supply of water there and I think it won't be a good thing to begin with. It's something that people there should learn a lesson from. It's always better to be ready all the time. I think it's about time they take that into consideration before something else worse happens.
