Ruby Tuesday: Our Belle

1 Sweet Note
Our little Fruitcake at 7 months old, on board Thomas the Train

Two weeks ago, our youngest, our little Princess Kaibelle, turned 2 years old.  I cannot believe it's been two years since she popped out into this world and finally completed our family of 5.  She is our little girl, and oh, how much she is loved by all of us!

It's her "terrible twos stage", but it's not like it's something new to us now.  We've been through that stage with our two boys, and we did just fine.  Though we don't know what this little Fruitcake has in store for us, but I think we can handle it.  They say boys are different from girls.  We really have no idea about that yet, but I just hope she won't give us a run for our money. (fingers on both hands, crossed)

We love you, Belle!  Be that little adorable girl that you are.  Go ahead and explore.  Learn.  Play.  Laugh.  Cry.  Do whatever makes you happy.  Just one thing -- don't grow up too fast on us, will you?

Ruby Tuesday: Belated Birthday Roses

Leave A Note

My husband surprised me with this bouquet of roses four days after my birthday. Just so you know, he didn't forget about my birthday at all. Since the 1st of August, he's been doing CPO training and has been gone almost 20 hours a day. He had to do important things on my day and he couldn't leave early so we celebrated it the day after. He bought a cake and he did make up for missing my birthday, like he promised he would. I thought the cake and the "special moment with me" were enough, but apparently, I was wrong that's why I got really surprised when he walked in from training one night holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He greeted me "Happy belated Birthday, my baby!" for the fifth time, I guess, and gave me a sweet hug and kisses.

My baby definitely knows how to make me feel really loved and special. And he does know how to make my heart melt with the simple things he does for me. I am so blessed to be his wife!

Ruby Tuesday: Mother's Day Cookies

4 Sweet Notes

These were my Mother's Day 2011 cookies that my boys gave me. Every time I'd come across this picture, I can't help but smile. It reminds me of how funny but sweet my husband really is.

On Mother's Day, he got me a small cake just enough for one person (he didn't bother to buy a bigger one because of me still being pregnant at the time and he didn't want me eating too much sugar). Then, he went back out again to grab something and when he came back, he handed me these cookies and asked me to choose one. I was like, "Why? Aren't they supposed to be all mine?" Then he answered me, "Because I also want to have a cookie." I chose the one at the bottom and he took the yellow piece. The whole time he was eating it, I was laughing because I thought it was just too cute to watch my husband munching on a cookie that says, Number 1 Mom. No wonder why he bought two pieces - so he, too could enjoy as well.

Ruby Tuesday: My Father-in-Law

1 Sweet Note

This is my very first entry for Ruby Tuesday, and because of it being my first, I want it to be special. And what could be more special than a photo of my late Father-in-Law, Douglas?!

I didn't get to meet him in person because he passed away on October 2000. How I wish I got to meet him because from all of the beautiful things and stories I've heard about him, no doubt, he was a great person and there's no way I wouldn't have loved him as if he were my real Dad. I feel sad as well that my kids didn't get to meet him, their Grandfather. I'm sure Dad would fall in love with the little ones. Now, all I can do is imagine what could have been if he was still alive. Things he and the kids could've done, how they could've spent time together, do the Grandfather-grandchildren bonding moments. He was, by the way, a great musician way back in the days. He used to play steel guitar with a band that was well-known in Lincoln, NE. I, being his daughter-in-law, couldn't be more prouder than I am now knowing that I have a Father-in-law like him even if we weren't given the chance to meet each other.

Here's a link that would tell you more about him as a musician. Just click on "2000 - Doug Campbell".

It hurts not being able to even at least see him once in person, but I know he's watching over us and he can see the kids all the time. My Mother-in-Law has told me how great of a father he was to John so I know how he would've been with the kids if he was still around.

To you Dad, we will always be proud of you! You are always missed and we love you very much!
