I took up Medical Technology for 2 years, then, I changed my course to Nursing. It wasn't really my choice, but I had to. But in the long run, I started loving it. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Though giving up Medical Technology broke my heart, I actually am thankful now that I did. I had no idea I would fall in love with Nursing till I actually realized, it's what I have been wanting to do all along.
The only thing I don't miss that much - wearing our women and mens scrubs every time we had to do community service. We would even joke around about how we actually looked more like "street vendors" than student Nurses. Of course, we weren't serious at all. It was all just a joke.

I miss having to wake up with something to look forward to in school! I miss spending breaks with my friends, having snack with them, or just chit-chatting while waiting for our Professor to be back! I miss a lot of things that I used to do as a student! I miss those carefree days! And above all, I miss the friends I've made during those times. I am grateful for the ones I still am in contact with till now! But, I wish I could find the others that I haven't talked to in a long time. It's sad that I can't remember all their names anymore. I tried searching for them on social networking sites, but I couldn't find them. I just hope that we'll get to reconnect one of these days. I just want to see how they've been and to let them know that I haven't forgotten about them. Well, I might have forgotten some of their names or last name, but not the memories I've had with them. They were my friends, and they always will be my friends.

Aww! I don't blame you a bit! I used to take up nursing course coz that was my childhood dream but ended up being a Teacher! Like you it broke my heart to shift my course but later on was happy to do it because I can't see myself on graveyard shift with my condition:)
Now, when you wake up, you look forward on finishing your chores at home hehehe but it's rewarding..
It is that ironic talaga. When we were young, we wanted to get old really fast. Now that we're old, we wish to turn back time. Hahaha! Good for you, you are a Nursing graduate pala. That's a nice career sis if you practice that here. Ako naman, mananatiling RN Wannabe for now.
oh, I miss my college days too...lots of fun and getaways...this post made me miss my college buddies back home.
oh, you just made me miss my Nursing college days so much too....a good thing I still have constant communication with old college friends...they keep my sanity when things are sad and blue...I hated wearing the community uniform too hahaha....with a black umbrella we also joked that we look like pig buying folks :) happy reminiscing :)
Ikaw ba yan, sana hindi ka na nakatapos ng college.. Joke lang.. kasi you look more lovely kung mas mataba ka..
Oh nursing! Made me remember a close friend of mine who also took Nursing and her family has moved to the US.

I share the same sentiments with you, college and the friendships I made is really memorable to me that's why my classmate and I still keep in touch and make it a point to bond each year.
College is always fun, but perhaps was not as fun as yours though.

like you, i miss old days...although i am in school now (studying thai language) but its somehow different. luckily, i am so happy that i am still connected with my friends back then, thanks to friendster (before) and facebook now...everytime i am home,i'll make sure to set a date with them. :) i hope you can find your old friends, too, goodluck. :)
