Knowing More About Our Car

Right now, our family owns only one car and that is my husband's 2003 Nissan Sentra. We use it for everything as far as getting around. Though we'll be needing a bigger vehicle here soon, this car will always be special to us so we still plan on keeping it.

I don't know much about cars since I grew up not having one back home. We only own a motorbike and though some things about it may be similar to a car's, I think I can get confused if asked about car parts and what their functions are and I absolutely won't be able to provide any answer to the questions. I haven't even started my driving lessons, yet and it's all right for now because I know I still have a lot of things to learn about them, particularly our car, because that will be the first one I'll be driving. I will be confident enough if I know not only about car parts and their specific function, but also about car problems and how to fix them in case I encounter any of it and I am left to deal with them on my own. My husband won't be around most of the time because of the kind of job that he does, so it's always good to know that even if I he's not there to help me out, I can still take care of the problem on my own or at least have an idea on how to handle things with regards to the car. Not only will it give me the confidence to take it anywhere, it will give my husband the assurance as well that no matter what, I have the knowledge I will need to take care of it myself till I get to a place where professional technicians can deal with the rest.
