My husband called me from work today informing me that he just found out he's got a 24-hour watch on Father's Day. Yes, he goes to work early on Sunday morning and won't be home till the next day. Although, he's got Monday off and he said we'll just celebrate it when he gets home, we both still felt sad that we actually won't be spending Father's Day as a family. This will be the first time he'll be working on a special occasion. But that's part of his job, and of our life as a military family.
I don't know yet what he's got planned for us to do on Monday. I know he'd be so tired, so I'm not expecting us to do much. I might just get some things at the grocery store tomorrow to fix for the family in case we decided on staying at home. I definitely won't mind cooking and baking for them, especially if it's for my husband on such a special day just for him!
That definitely wasn't a good news, but we'll make sure to make it up for the whole family to still get to enjoy no matter what.

Mommy, sorry about that. You guys can just celebrate later on then. Good to be back here on your blog. :)
